PETROL CUT IN BRITAIN

' (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, October 22. The Joint Parliamentary Secretary of the • Ministry of Fuel and Power announced in the House of Commons that the increasing need of the armed forces had made necessary a further general reduction of petrol allowances for business and professional purposes. The reduction would be for December, January and February. He added that the fighting services had made, and were continuing to make, drastic economies in all petrol consumption other than that necessary for operations and essential training.
