INVENTION TO KILL SMELLS
, ■ NEW, YORK, October 22. Three industrial, chemists have developed an inexpensive chemical compound ■ which- destroys any known of-; fensive odour, ■ says • the “New York Herald Tribune.” The compound successfully overcomes olfactory offenders like the skunk, the stench of bombs, the odour of fish and butchers’ shops, and the cooking of cabbage. The compound was discovered after three years of experiments. It literally kills .smells by burning ' them with oxygeu as they float in the air.
