OBITUARY
Mrs. F. M. Norton The death occurred in Auckland on Saturday of Mrs. Florence Margaret Norton, o£ 49 Barnard Street, M iiilestown. Mrs. Norton, who was the widow of Mr. Henry T. Norton, killed in action in France in 1916, lived in TVellington for many years, and was one of the early' residents ot Wadestown. She was well known in local business circles, and for a considerable time was one of the leading costumiers in AVellington. Possessing a kindly nature and a generous disposition, her death will be keenly felt by her many friends. Mrs. Norton is survived by one son, Mr. Leonard Norton, Hunua, Papakura, and two daughters, Mrs. Jean Hicks, Los Angeles, California, and Mrs. Kathleen Tindall, Sydney. Miss E. A. Hay-Mackenzie Miss E. A. Hay-MncKenzie, who died suddenly at her home on AVellington Terrace on Sunday, will be mourned by a wide circle of friends. Born in Southland, she was educated at the Invercargill High School, and while there was prominent nt hockey and basketbail. For the past 20 years she had been on the AVellington staff of the New Zealand Shipping Co., Ltd., where she was very popular. She was a keen golfer, and for several years held the position of secretary of (he Shandon Ladies’ Golf Club. She was a sister of Mr. AV. E. Hay-MacKeuzie, Northland, and an aunt of Mr. Ron HayMacKenzie, the well-known New Zealand golfer, who is now a prisoner of war in Italy. The funeral will take place at Karori Cemetery tiiis afternoon.
