Dieppe Raid Described As Necessary Preliminary (Received October IG, 7 p.m.) MONTREAL, October 10. With his arm in a and the D.b.U. ribbon on his chest, Lieutenant-Colonel Dollard Menard, leading 17 Dieppe survivors, shyly faced 50 newsmen. He described the bloody fight at Dieppe as an enlightening and necessary preliminary to the forthcoming permanent landing.
