A suggestion that steps be taken to ensure that the Otago University Medical School fall into line with medical schools in other parts of the Empire by working a summer term, thereby making more doctors available for civil and military duties in a shorter time, was made in notice of a question given by Mr. Anderton (Government, Edem ’in conjunction with Dr. McMillan (Government. Dunedin West). The question was directed to the Minister of Education, Mr. Mason, and in a note the questioners said that one Canadian medical school was getting its graduates out 22 months earlier by this procedure.
