ANOTHER N.Z. PATROL VESSEL
Launching At Auckland

Another I'alrnille patrol vessel for the New. Zealand Navy was launched today from .the boatyard of Charles Bailey, and Tons, Iwo weeks after the launching of the first vessel built in Auckland. Tlte job of this trim, ag-gressive-looking craft will I>e to hunt, eneniv submarines. It is the symbol of the* ability of New Zeaiaml craftsmen to build fighting ships, ami the keel of a- third such vessel is about to be laid. A benedictory address was given.by the Rev. Jasper Calder, A1.8.E. Two verses of the hymn "Eternal Father,” were' sung, and Technical College trumpeters sounded the “Reveille.” Mrs. AV. F. Callum, wife of the chairman of directors of the building firm, broke the traditional bottle of wine, and the vessel slid into the sparkling waters ready for duty.
