EMPEROR’S GIFTS TO MR. JORDAN
(Received October 14, 7 P-ni.) LONDON, October 13. The Ethiopian Minister, Mr. Blatta Ayela Gabre, has handed to the New Zealand High Commissioner, Mr. Jordan, an autographed photograph of the Emperor, Haile Selassie, and also a walking stick made from native timber with a rhinoceros horn handle, bearing Selassie’s personal monogram in gold, iney arc personal gifts from the Emperor to Mr. Jordan. The photograph is bcnutifullv framed in native ; worked silver. A personal message of friendship and goodwill to Mr. Jordan from the Emperor accompanied 'the gifts.
