FOUR YEARS’ PROBATION
William Alfred Gordon Mills, labourer, aged 25L was admitted to .probation for four years by , Mr. Justice Blair in the Supreme: Court, Wellington, yesterday, for theft of moneys froth his employer at Stratford. Accused was ordered to pay one guinea costs, and to make restitution of £lO5 during the period of probation in such instalments as the probation officer may see fit; Mr. 11. 11. Scott, who appeared - for accused, said that Mills had been in the cjnploy of a taxi-driver, who kept jut’s of money all over his house, and the .temptation had proved too great.
