Number Of Senior Teams

Tbe question of the number of senior teams which should compete this season led to a long debate at the meeting of the management committee of the Wellington Cricked Association on Monday. The senior championship committee made the following suggestions :-— First alternative: Killrirnje, .Hutt, Petone, University, St.. Patrick’s College Old Boys, Wellington, Wellington College Old Boys, Institute Old Boys, Air Force, School of Artillery, Karori, and Army. Second alternative: Midland-Welling-ton, Kilbirnie-Institute, St. Patrick’s College Old Boys-Wellington College Old Boys, Karori-University, Hutt-Petone, Army, School of Artillery, and Air Force. On the motion of Mr. J. Ileid, seconded by Mr. B. Pegler, it was decided to write to affiliated clubs advising them of the senior championship committee’s recommendations, and informing them that tins was the opinion of the management committee, as it would be in the interest or the. game to .have such amalgamation.
