SPRING BRIDGE PARTY
The 80 guests who attended the spring bridge party at the Victoria rooms in Wellington recently each ) c ceived a shoulder-spray on arrival, li e party was a special effort to raise funds for Christmas parcels to send to members’ sons and husbands serving overseas. Mrs Hugh McGill, convener of the league’s bridge circle, aguin worked untirin"lv to make the event the success It was She and members of the circle, committee made the sprays wineh were presented, members ot the committee, Icing Mesdames C. E. Corrigan, Nissen, A Mack. AV right. Hugh, Brown and Artliur Barnett, who was also responsible for the lovely floral decorations m the rooms. A home-made afternoon tea was served. There were 20 tables of players and a substantial sum was raised.
