After 12 years as librarian nt Brooklyn Airs. P. Stevenson has relinquished the' post.’ and in appreciation of her helpfulness to them over the ,veins, sonic 200 subscribers met her yesteruny fit “ gathering, and presented her with giLs in appreciation of her work among them,. Mr, Norrie, city librarian and Mrs. L. AV G Coleridge paid tribute to Mrs. Stevenson for her lino record ot service to the' community. Mrs. Colermge said she endeared herself to ail. and ward happiness she possessed she ratii.ited to others. , . A gold wristlet wateh, a set ot crystal goblets, and some lovely Howers were presented to Mrs. Stevenson, who was accorded musical honours. Mi. A. Troughtoll, postaniister -nt llrook j , imide the presentations Mr. I’. 1.. I lining being in the chair. Among those present were Mrs Stewart, M.l, the Rev. mid Mrs. I). C. Bates, and the Bet. Hid Ml’S C. L. Dobbs. A recitation was given by Mrs. Hilliker. and afternoon tea was" served.
