Disturbances In India
BOMBAY, October 11. Two bomb explosions occurred near the police quarters in Poona and a third in a village in the Sura district. Police fired on a stone-throwing crowd in Ahmedabad. In the Dacca district villagers looted shops. Three warders were injured when prisoners attacked warders 111 Three persons are believed to have been killed and a few wounded, also 12 policemen injured, as the result of a disturbance in Mardan yesterday. About UMJ Red Shirts, including Abdul Azis. a Congress member of the Provincial Legislative Assembly, rushed the courthouse, aiming at damaging the records. The police ejected them and the Bed Shirts and city hooligans stoned the police, who fired a few shots, ihe situation is now quiet. . . Qazi Attautlah, former Minister of Education, was convicted under Lie Arms Act and fined £2i>o sterling. He refused to pay, whereupon an equivalent portion of his property was attached.
