Severn’ new members were elected at the twentv-iifth annual meeting of the Island Bay Bowling Club, held recently. Officers for the 1942-43 ' s'elison were elected as follows: —President. Mr. J. Jenkins; vice-president.- Mr. W. H. Burgess; secretary and treasurer. Mr. 11. I’. Clarke; management committee, Messrs. C YV. Beckett, A. II; Clerke,' 11. S. Davis, J A Griffiths, 11. A. Hansen, D. A. Mitchell, R. O'Shea, E. A. Sargent, P. X Williams; hon. auditor, Mr. 11. Hitchins; delegate to centre. Mr. H F. Clarke; sole selectors, Saturdays, Mr. A. 11. Clerke, mid-week, Mr. J. F. Downey: green superintendent, Mr. T. G. Ricketts; deputy-superintendent, Mr. 11. C. Parsons Sunday play committee, Messrs. L. E Aldridge. 11. S. Davis, J. A. Griffiths, D A. Mitchell and A. Shelton; grounds beautifying committee, . Messrs. A. T. Emerson and G. AV. Beckett. Special thanks were passed to the retiring president Mr. E. A. Sargent, and to Messrs. L. Billing, E. M. Gallagher. H. C. Parsons. C. F. A. Waters, and T. A. White, for valued services on the management commit tee.
