MISSIONS TO SEAMEN
The past week has been one of great activity at the Missions to Seamen Institute in Stout Street, Wellington. Bmh indoor and outdoor activities have been catered for by the chaplain, the Rev. B. J. Williams. ' , Dances were held on Monday . and Thursday evenings. Songs by Fijian members of the crew of an overseas ship were a feature of both the dances. Great keenness and skill was shown by overseas seamen in the ■ three football matches arranged for them during the week. The same sense of physical fitness was shown by those who took part in boxing, competitions. •V number of short films were shown during the week. Tea, arranged by women friends of the institute, followed the football matches and. preceded evensong on Sunday.
