CHINESE ADVANCE
Against Three Bases
LONDON, September 3.
Chungking reports that the Chinese in their advance in the south liave now reached a point only 16 miles from Canton. Another force is attacking 30 miles north-east of the city. Kinwha, captial of Chekiang, lias been encircled, and its fall is said to be imminent. The Chinese are now within striking distance of Nanchang, the capital of Kiangsi.
