NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Hutt County Council held on Friday, the 21st day of August, 1942, the following Resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation at a Special Meeting of the Council to be held on Friday, the 25th day of September, 1942, at 2.15 p.m.. at the Council Chambers, Bowen House, Bowen Street, Wellington. FULL SCALE TRIAL IN LOWER HUTT (1) I hereby ORDER and give Public Notice that on Sunday, September 6, 1942. at an undisclosed time in the afternoon sirens will be sounded in the above district and that from the time of the sounding of the Alarm till the All Clear is sounded the conditions of a state of emergency will exist in the City. (2) GENERAL PUBLIC.—The General Public in tlie streets and open places shall immediately disperse or take shelter till the All Clear is sounded. AS THE TRIAL WILL INCLUDE THE HANDLING OF UNEXPLODED BOMBS RESIDENTS IN THE VICINITY MUST HOLD THEMSELVES IN READINESS FOR THE TEMPORARY EVACUATION . OF THEIR HOMES AS DIRECTED BY THE WARDENS TILL SUCH TIME AS THE PRESUMED DANGER HAS BEEN DISPOSED OF. (3) NO TRAFFIC other than vehicles of Armed Forces on duty and registered E.P.S. vehicles will be permitted within the City Boundary till the All Clear has sounded and afterward only as directed by Police, Traffic Officers and otlfer authorized E.P.S. Officials. . (4) NAVAL, MILITARY AND AIR FORCE personnel are requested to comply with the requirements of E.P.S. officials.
