Mrs. L. Al. Nutt lias returned to Wellington after visiting her mother, Mrs. A. B. Gibson, New Plymouth. Mrs. L. AV. Lovell, New Plymouth, is visiting Wellington. Mrs. E. Baxter, Christchurch, is the guest of her mother, Mrs. J. B. Beamish, Patea.
Mrs. F. A. Evans has returned to Hawera after visiting friends in Hawke's Bay.
Mrs. James Fletcher, Remueru. Auckland, is visiting Wellington. Miss M. Lambie, Director of Nursing Services, has returned to 'Wellington after attending a conference of matrons of hospitals in the Auckland Province, Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Newman, Wanganui, have returned home after spending a holiday in Napier. Mrs. Geoffrey Myers, Wellington, is visiting her mother, Mrs. A. AV. Andrew, Cashmere Hills, Christchurch. Mrs. N. K. Hammond, “Ailsa,” Ohingaitii is visiting Palmerston North as the guest of Mrs. W. H. Nicols.
Mrs. TV alter Hislop, Wellington, and her daughter, Mrs. B. S. Trolove, who have been visiting Christchurch, have returned to Mrs. Troloce’s home, Kekerangu, Marlborough. Miss C. Rockel. of the teaching staff of Wanganui Girls’ College, is spending a holiday in Christchurch. Miws K. Scotter, well known in New Plymouth, where she was general secretary of the Y.W.C.A. for several years, has been appointed vice-principal of the Burwood Girls' Home, Christchurch. Miss Scotter was honorary child welfare officer in New Plymouth while she was in the Y.W.C.A., and later held a position as child welfare officer in Christchurch. Her work at Burwood will include directing the leisure hours of the girls.
