Graft Charges In America

(Received September 1, 8.30 pan.) WASHINGTON, August 31.

The Justice Department announced' the indictment by the Grand Jury of two dismissed War Production Board officials, Messrs. Robert Rhoads and Ralph Glaser, and three used .machine tools dealers on charges of conspiracy to defraud the Government and Interfering with the prosecution of the war. It is alleged that Rhoads and Glaser sold an option on machine tools at a personal profit of 30,W0 dollars and agreed not to make a freezing order against tools or report their existence. Glaser was hired by the British Purchasing Commission as technical adviser for the procurement of machine tools.
