LOWER HUTT E.P.S. TRIAL

At an undisclosed time next Sunday a full-scale E.P.S. trial will be held in Lower Hutt. . It will call all branches of the E.P.S. organization into action, and will include, a feature new to practices in the area —unexploded bombs will be dealt with by an Army bombdisposal unit. It is announced that this part of the work .will be executed with a degree of realism that may affect some citizens' directly. .It may xbe found that the unexploded bombs will endanger residential property, and in such cases the residents-may be required to leave them until the necessary disposal work is done. People who are asked by the wardens to evacuate their premises are expected to do so promptly. The trial will not extend to Petone, which had one recently. It is understood, however, that future E.P.S. tests in the Hutt Valley will be co-ordinated to cover the whole area.
