Dominion Special Service. PALMERSTON N., August 31. The Palmerston North Waste Materials Committee at a recent meeting decided to ask the Minister of Defence whether it was possible to secure the cooperation of the Army in a drive for the collection of rubber. The mayor, Mr. Mansford, has received a reply from the Minister stating that he had discussed the matter with the Minister of Supply, who was arranging . for the proposal to be considered at the earliest possible moment.
