The Government have now granted Mauukau' Rovers Rugby League Mm <‘ travel permit, to visit Wellington, and th p champion Maori Ru«W play at Wellington at. the Basin R^ st ‘ r '‘t on’September 12. With a •eog j'mihr slashing victories in the Auckland Rugby Leaglieu: senior competition this Beason, the brilliant Maori combination is preceded by a great reputation. The team Includes several Kiwi, Auckland, and New Zealand Maori representatives, among the better known of whom are S. W apenc, Peter Ririnui, Tommy Chase, J. Murraj. and Jack Hemi. Manukau is virtually a tX match, Possibles v Probables, will be played to assist the selectors in choosing the Wellington team to play Manukau Rovers.
Wellington-Beats Hutt Valley. A close and exciting match ou baturday between teams representing Wellington and Hutt Valiev resulted in a win for the city thirteen f 5-14. Tries for Wellington were scored by Headberg (2) and Hapl. two of which were converted by Hap, and Brown Uapl also kicked a penalty goal. For Hutt Valley tries were scored by Rangiwhetu, Bolilerson, Milligan, and Malta nder, one of which was converted by Rangiwbetu.
