Dominion Executive Meets
A meeting of the Dominion executive of the New Zealand Dady Galway Patriotic Guild was held at Government House, Wellington, on Thursday. Her Excellency, Dady Newall, who takes the keenest interest, in the work, is president of the guild and presided at the meeting. The report of the safe arrival of some hundreds of cases of clothes was received from the Women’s Voluntary Services. Bngland, wiiich distributes the clothes from New Zealand as they arrive. The thanks of the IVomen’s Voluntary Services and of the many recipients of clothing, was expressed. About 27,450 garments from the Dominion were received and distributed in England for a period of three months. . Cases continue to be sent while shipping space is available, and all branches are urged to continue their good work, with the knowledge that clothes are being sent not only to England, Russia, Poland and other countries in need of help, but also that an ample supply will be available in New Zealand should an eniergeiicv arise. , . . A report of the working ot the guild l was given by Mrs. Knox Gilmer, chairman of the Dominion executive, who expressed appreciation of the work ot Miss Harrison, as honorary secretary.
