Right To Keep Boarders

Representations have been made by the New Zealand Returned .Services Association to the State Advances Cotporation with regard to granting permission to tenants in State houses under certain circumstances to keep boarders or share the house with friends. Hie association suggested in particular that the tenancy agreements .might be revised to allow wives of .servicemen to take in lioardcrs to supplement their income during the serviceman's absence on service. , ~ . , The New Zealand Returned ..Services Association has now been advised, that as a wartime concession such permission may be granted by the corporation. This doe's not mean that the clause in the tenancy agreement prohibiting . subletting or keeping of lioardcrs is relaxed, but that in certain eases the corporation is prepared to give consideration to an application for permission, each case being considered strictly on its merits.
