Dominion Special Service. HAWERA, August 27. Final gallops for the Hunt Clubs’ moating on Saturday were performed this morning under wintry conditions, a bitterly cold wind blowing strongly against the horses finishing up the straight. Fha course proper, with the trestles out 3o net, was available for fast work, but was very holding and a number of horses were galloped on the sand, which afforded faster going than the outside. ' A number of visiting horses were out exercising, indud ing Venture, Smooger, Indian Sun, Moko Moko, Ring Scurf and Golden Acre.
