Vice-Regal. Government House. I Wellington, August 24. This morning his Excellency the Governor-General received the Honourable Mr. Justice Smith. This afternoon his Excellency received Mr. R. R. Saksena, Indian Government Trade Commissioner to Australia and New Zealand. His Grace the Archbishop of New Zealand has left Government House.
Mr. F. G. Hall-Jones. Invercargill, is at present, a visitor to Wellington.
Mr. Paul Paddock has been appointed United States vice-consul at Auckland.
Mr. E. L. Rutledge, manager of Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation (N.Z.), Limited, has returned from Australia.
Mr. L. Hog wood, vocational guidance officer of the Kowhai Intermediate School, Auckland, arrived at Wellington yesterday. Mr. Raniji Ram Saksena, Indian Government Trade Commissioner in Australia and New Zealand, has arrived at Wellington and is staying at the Hotel Waterloo. . Professor R. O. McGeehan and Professor A. G. Davis have been appointed by Hie Governor-General as members of the Council of Legal Education, representing the Senate of the University of New Zealand. Captain Moritz W. Vaumund. superintendent for the Norwegian Shipping and Trade Mission to New Zealand accompanied by Commander W. O. Thorensen, Royal Norwegian Navy, are In Wellington.
