COMMODITY ZONING

Wellington Scheme For Bread plans for a bread zoning scheme for the Wellington city and suburban area, the Hutt Valley, Eastbourne, Ngaio, Khandallah an'd Johnsonville, are now nearing completion, states Mr. H. M. Christie, zoning officer for the North Island. Mr. Christie hopes to submit the scheme to the Minister of Transport for his consideration very soon. Schemes are in preparation for either zoning or regulating the transportation of a number of other commodities also, in the case of all these schemes the public will be further advised through the Press before the schemes are put into effect. The zoning officer stated further that the members of the various business associations he had had to deal with appeared to realize fully the seriousness of the situation which enemy action had brought about, and he very much appreciated the help ami wholehearted co-operation he was receiving from them.
