Continued Hammering (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, August 4. The Admiralty announces that a Japanese flying-boat was shot down during a recent routine sweep in the Bay o_f Bengal. No Japanese ships were sighted. The R.A.F. on Sunday made a sweep over northern Burma, a New Delhi communique says. Bombs were dropped on Myitkina and railway lines and stations were bombed. A low-level attack was made on the main jetty at Akyab, and the wireless station is also believed to have been hit.
