University Club.—The club held Its «L mile championship race at Silverstreiuu on Saturday afternoon, when the plnclngs wereO’Connor, 40.57, 1; Rowberry, 41.34, 2; McDowell. 42.20, 3: De la Mare. 43.19. 4. As O’Connor was not eligible for the club championship, first place went to Rowberry. The shield handicap race run in conjuctiou resulted: Rowberry (see.). 1; McDowell (25sec.), 2; De la Mare (25 sec.), 3. The junior championship was won by iJtarcluint, Renner gaining second place.
