FLYING OFFICER OPENSHAW

Flying Officer Openshaw, who was 33 vears of age, was educated at Huntley' School, Marton, and the Wanganui Collegiate School. Before leaving New Zealand in November. 1940, to train as an observer in Canada under the Empire Air Training scheme, where he gained his commission, be was radio officer with Hie Union Steam Ship Company for many years.
