TODAY’S E.P.S. TRIAL Watts Peninsula Area

To provide a general exercise of personnel and a test of inter-district communications, a full trial of all E.P.'S. unite will be held in Wellington Areas 21, 22, 24 and 25 at an undisclosed time this afternoon. The districts involved are Lyall Bay, Kilbirnie, Miramar, iSeatoun, and, in fact, all of Watts Peninsula. The trial will be so arranged as to cause as little interference as possible with both pedestrian and motor traffic, but this, nevertheless, will be subject to the directions of E.P.S. 'personnel. At an undisclosed time on Monday night an alarm will be sounded from a motor-vehicle in Area 19 (Newtown), solely for an official E.P.S. test. Special blackout precautions will not be required of householders, and only the normal lighting restrictions will apply.
