SLIP ON PAEKAKARIKI HILL
’The I’aekakariki Hill Road, which was so useful as an alternative route while the coastal road remained blocked by the big slip at I’ukerua Bay, is itself now blocked by a big slip. This new slip is difficult of access, because of other slips, and it may be four days before it can be cleared. Traffic has been passing by the coastal route since Monday.
