Ministerial warnings that rubber shortages would affect the heating of passenger trains have already been proved correct. Though the Limited express, is ■still well heated, some of the other trains leaving Auckland are very cold, says the ‘•New Zealand Herald.” Passengers who have been travelling to Rotorua have noticed and asked guards the reason lor the hick of heating in the carriages. The answer has been that rubber can no longer be spared for the connecting pipes.
