Vice-Regal. . Government House. Wellington, July 27. His Excellency the GovernorGeneral, attended by Major C. J. Holland-Martin, visited the Wanganui Technical College this morning. His Excellency returned to Wellington from Wanganui this evening. Ministerial. The Hon. J. G. Barclay, Minister of Agriculture and Marketing, is to visit Australia to confer with the Australian Government and a number of primary industry boards on matters of common interest, to New Zealand and the Commonwealth, Mr. D. J. Cummings, Commissioner of Police, is visiting Auckland. The Hon. F. G. Young, M.D.C., arrived from Auckland by train during the weekend. Brigadier F. E. Hunt and Colonel A. McKillop arrived at 'Wellington from Auckland this morning. Mr. A. Haynes, of the Public Works Department sub-station at Bunnythorite, has been appointed first, engineer of the Palmerston North City Connell power station. Mr. A. V. Sutton, inspector of factories in Palmerston North for four years, is being transferred to Oamaru to take charge of the branch of the Labour (Henartment
