Obtained From Australia A statement that the Internal Marketin" Division had been successful in securing from Australia a considerable quantity of specially-clipped barley for use by poultry farmers was made yesterday by the Minister of Marketing Mr. Barclay. “As the result of the purchase being made on very favourable ernis, said the Minister, “this barley (which will be cbtainable through the customary merchant distributory channels) will be available to poultry farmers at the reduced price of 4/8 a bushel, sacks m, ex wharf at Auckland, Wellington and New rivmouth, on the usual cash terms tor quantities of 10 sacks and upward. .1 hese supplies will he available very shortly, and it is hoped that the substantial reduction in price will prove of considerr.lde assistance to poultry farmers.
