MEMORIAL HOME FOR CHILDREN
Sheep Stations Bequeathed (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, July 27. Birch Hill Station, of 2020 acres, and the testator’s Okukn property of 10,126 acres, with the buildings and stock, have been bequeathed to the New Zealand Sunlight League by Mr. Edward Bowler Million, well-known slieepfarmer, near Rangiora, for the establishment of the Ford Millton Memorial Home for Children, the home being dedicated to the pioneer families. The will pays a tribute to the enterprise, endurance ami fortitude of the pioneers and bequeaths one of New Zealand’s first sheep stations for a home for the open air and sunshine treatment for children and to encourage them to accept a simple country life and industry as the happiest means of livelihood.
The properties pass to the league on the death of Mrs. Millton.
