The twenty-sixth aatiual meeting of Hie Wellington Drapers. Clothiers and Poet Retailors’ Association was belli on Wednesday night al. James Smith's tearooms. S. Land. W. A. Mann, H. O. |j( D(] I’l ’’ 11 I'x S'll C«l I’ol*, A,. 11 Smith” A. B. Whitehead; advisory board, Messrs. 11. O. Pittendrigh and Y P. Smith; chamber of commerce representative, Mr. J. Carter; hon. auditor, Mr. W. E. Nichols, F.I.A.N.Z. Mr. R. G. Berry, secretary of the special price investigation tribunal committee of the association, gave an address to members on price control. Mr. W. Simin was elected the first honorary life member of Hie association, the president and members paying tribute to his long and valuable service to the trade.
