Trespassers On Railway Yards "The Railways Department takes a very serious views of this." said Sub-ln-speetor <l. 11. Lambert when Jack Shephard and George Stewart, both Public Works employees, were lined in the Magistrates' Ciftirt, Wellington, yesterday for trespassing on the 'Wellington railway yards. Police evidence was that defendants at •1.33 p.m. one day’ had crossed the sets of rails in ’the yard from east to westj At that time traffic was very heavy- and they not only ran great danger themselves but made it difficult, for the engine drivers. Their excuse was that they were in a hurry to catch a train. A tine of f l in each ease was imposed bv Mr. Stout, SAI.
