Fine Of £2 Imposed Pleading guilty, James Henry Patrick Lynch, ship’s fireman, aged 31, was convicted in the Magistrates’ Court, Wellington, yesterday, and ordered to pay the cost of the damage for breaking a glass panel ami window, valued at £l/5/-, on a train travelling between Lyttelton and Tlealheote on August 19, and fined £2 for behaving in an offensive manner to the annoyance of other passengers. Sub-Inspcctor G. 11. Lambert said Lynch was under the influence of liquor and his conduct on the train was offensive 'to the guard and other passengers, lie broke the window by throwing his eoat at it ami broke the chain of the guard’s whistle when the guard was trying to get his ticket. His language was disgusting. Anthony Joseph Molone. plumber, aged 32, charged with using obscene language in Viviau»Street on Thursday, entered a plea.of guilty and was fined £2. Mr. Stout. S.M., was on the bench.
