MAJESTIC THEATRE

A lighthearted piece, played principally by those slick performers, William Powell and Myrna Loy, ”1 Love You Again” yesterday entered the second week of a season at the‘Majestic Theatre. It is not of the "Thin Man” series, but is an extract from the lives of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Wilson, leading citizens of the small town of Habersville, U.S.A. Through no fault of his owu, Larry rescues "Doe” Ryan (Frank McHugh) from a watery grave while returning to the States in a huge luxury liner, and gets struck on the head for his pains. When he recovers consciousness he discovers that for nine years he has been suffering from amnesia, , that he is not Larry Wilson but George Carey, and that his past is not one that bears looking into. When he looks through his pockets he finds various documents which make him realize that Larry Wilson, is. a rich man, so a visit to Haberville is indicated. “Doe” goes along as his partner, and it looks as if all is going to be well, when Larry/George discovers he has a wife, Kay. Kay has come to meet the ship, determined to give Larry a divorce, but when he comes on shore hi.s different nature is so obvious that she is diverted from her purpose. Larry/George is from then on in a series of complications, not the least of which is the discovery that he is falling desperately in love with his own wife.

In his gangster character Larry invites the co-operation of “The Duke” (Edmund Lowe) in raising a large sum of money on a false oil deal in Habersville. This scheme is not carried through, however, and in the end both “Doc“ and Larry/George are content to settle down in Habersville as respectable citizens.
