Store cattle: The market was erratic, with best sorts only selling at,about, reserve prices. Dairy cattle: A light entry sold at late rates. Springing heifers made £5/7/6 to £7; springing cows. £B/10/-; heifers in milk, £B/2/6; cows in milk. £7/10/-. Martinborough Sale The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at their Martinborough sale on Wednesday, there was a small yarding of cattle, and their entry consisted of practically all fats, which met with keen competition, and sold well. The following are the prices: Fat. bullocks, £ll to £ll/17/-: fat dairy cows, £9 to £9/15/-; fat P.A. heifers, £8 19/-: three-vear P.A. steers. £B/15/- to £9/17/-. Small Sale At Dannevirke Dominion Special Service .DANNEVIRKE, November 14. A small yarding of sheep and cattle was submitted to a small attendance of the public at the Dannevirke sale today. In the fat sheep section, there was only a small yarding other than those yarded for sale for patriotic purposes. Many of these were sold a number of times, bringing in substantial returns for the queen carnival campaign. The main sales, other than patriotic sales, were:—Fat Jersey cows and beifeds, £4/10/- to £6/12/6; springing Jersey heifers, £3/7/6; yearling Jersey heifers, £4/15/- to £5/10/-; store Jersey cows, £2/10/- to £3/15/-; springing cows, fourth calvers, £10; yearling steers, £4 ]./-; two-year Jersey bull, £8 to £lO 10/-; fat ewes, 16/3 to 17/3; fat wethers, 25/-: f, and f. two-tooth wethers, 22/6; ewes and lambs, all counted, to 20/6. Williams and Kettle, Ltd., quote as follows:—Fat. Jersey cows and heifers, £4/10/- to £6/10/-; dairy cows, springing, £7 to £B/10/-; dairy cows, calved, £5/7/6 to £7/10/-: dairy heifers, springing, £5/15/- to £6/10/-; yearling Jersey heifers. £4/15/-; store Jersey cows, £2 10/- to £3/I’s/-; two-year Jersey bulls. £B. The Hawke's Bay Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association, Ltd., quote:—Shorn fat ewes, 15/- to 17/6: fat wethers, £l/7/6; fat cows, £5 to £6/7/6; store cows, £2 10/- to £3/15/-: Jersey bulls, £3/1.5/- to £B/10/-. . , . There was a moderate yarding of pigs and a fair yarding of poultry, chiefly young stock, at R. Roake and Son’s yards today. They quote as follows: — Earlv pullets. 3/6: three weeks cockerels, (id. to 10d.: W.L. hens. 3/6 to 4/-; 8.0. bens. 3/6 to 4/9; yearling roosters, 4/8 to 5/-; hens and clutches of chicks sold at. last week's rates. Pigs: Weaners, 17/- to 21/-; slips, 21/- to 25/-.
