(Received November 14, 9.30 p.m.) NEW Y'ORK, November 13.
A message from Mexico City says it is unofficially reported that Mexico and the United States have agreed to defence co-operation, United States armed forces being granted access to Mexican •naval and air bases. A State Department official in Washington. commenting on this report, said, ‘There is nothing to it.” How■ter, the Administration admitted that general defence discussions with Mexico were under way and the statement was taken to mean that no agreement had yet been reached. LONDON, November 13. It Jias been revealed that on November 3 a high tide caused flooding in the Thames and for several miles the river threatened to overflow.
