Italian Losses Over Malta

CAIRO, November 12. 'The Royal Air Force spokesman said that the ratio of Italian and British plane losses during raids on Malta worked out at about 10 to 1. Twenty-eight enemy aircraft had been destroyed and 22 probably destroyed. Malta had 180 warnings since the Italian entry into the war. Only three R.A.F. fighters had been shot down. (Received November 13. 9.10 p.m.) A communique states that enemy fighters this morning flew over Malta at a great height. They were split up by ground fire. Our fighters shot down one raider, the pilot of which was killed.
