View That Rehabilitation Should Be Sole Object (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) HASTINGS, November 12. The opinion that no further appeals should now be made to rhe publ'n other than for the after-care of soldiers was expressed at a meeting of rhe Napier branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association. Speakers were emphatic on the point that “comforts for soldiers” were a secondary consideration to after-care. Comforts, it was said, should be provided from canteen profits and regimental funds. It was decided to recommend the public to earmark donations for rehabilitation purposes.
