MR. CHAMBERLAIN’S WORK

The Birmingham and Midland Counties Association, at its monthly meeting this week, adopted the following resolution q—“The executive and members of the Birmingham Counties Association, Wellington, New Zealand, learn with deep regret of the death of one of most illustrious sons, the Rt. Hop.. Neville Chamberlain, late Prime Minister of England, and offer their sincere condolences to Mrs. Chamberlain and family in their sad bereavement. We shall always remember with profound gratitude his great services to our Homeland and the British Empire.” Tributes to the memory of Mr. Chamberlain were paid by the. president and viee-president of lhe association. The resolution was later cabled to Mrs. Chamberlain.

The programme following was contriOlivier and Messrs. Meßay, Phipps and Olivier and Messrs. Meßay, Phipps and Stewart, Miss Highet presiding at the piano. Supper was provided by Mesdames Phipps and Taylor. Several visitors were welcomed, and new members announced.
