FREIGHTERS LOST

Gale In Great Lakes Region NEW YORK, November 12. At least 78 persons are dead and 60 missing, most of them seamen, as the result of a gale which struck the Great Lakes region. Two lake freighters were smashed to pieces and their entire crews, totalling 35 men. are feared lost. Tlie gale was experienced over tlie whole country, and tlie property damage runs into millions.
