Government Consideration
it was understood that at a suitable date a meeting of interested organizations would be called to consider war risk insurance, stated a letter received by the council of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce last night from the council of Fire and Accident Un'derwriters’ Associations. The associations’ council was replying to a letter from the council of the chamber raising the question of the Government insuring buildings and their contents against war risk under a cover similar to that operated by the British Government in the United Kingdom. It stated that the executive of the council understood that this class of insurance had been the subject of consideration by the Government, but it had no information as to the nature of the 'discussions.
