FIVE SWEPT UP

Mines In Bass Strait

SYDNEY, November 12.

The Minister of the Navy, Mr. W. M. Hughes, revealed that five mines had been swept up in Bass Strait since the two vesesls were sunk last week. He added that it would be possible to reopen Bass Strait to shipping within the next few days.

It is authoritatively stated that till six Britons who were detained In Rumania have now been released and have left the country.
