A leading German general has ex pressed the opinion that the German air force cannot win tlie war by itsel:. Tliat, he says. can only be achieved by the army. This warning has become necessary as the German people have taken tlie optimistic view that the war can be won by the air force. “The only way to success is by bringing troops to England. Though one ought not to minimize the value of the air force, it cannot alone conquer England. This must be done iby the army, and tlie arms’ must 'be strengthened.’
