Discussion In London (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May 8. The Foreign Secretary, Lord Halifax, received the Soviet Ambassador. M. Maisky, to discuss the prospects of Anglo-Soviet trade. The last communication from the Soviet. Government had been under the examination of the various departments concerned, and it. is understood that, arising from this examination, Lord Halifax made certain observations upon the Soviet communication and asked for further information regarding certain points.
