PETROL IN AUSTRALIA
Increase Of 3d. A Gallon CANBERRA, May 9. Petrol prices throughout Australia have been increased by 3d. a gallon as from today. The extra duty imposed by the Federal Government last week will thus be passed on to the consumers. The new rates will bo: Ordinary grade, 2/4: first grade, 2/5. I’ctrol is now 7d. a gallon above the pre-war price.
